Doula Services
I offer one free, no obligation consultation to determine if we are a good fit for each other. I prefer meeting in person for this, but it can also be done over the phone or through email. If you decide I'm the doula for you, you will receive the following:
At least 2 to 3 prenatal visits to discuss your birth goals and how we will work together to achieve them
Unlimited phone and email contact before and after birth
Assistance with creating a birth plan if desired
On-call 24/7 beginning 2 weeks before your due date
Continuous labor support at home and/or hospital
Emotional, physical, and informational support before, during and after birth
Limited assistance with breastfeeding, if needed
At least one postpartum visit within the first 10 days
Attendance at childbirth education classes with you if desired
I DO NOT do anything clinical, i.e., fetal heart tone monitoring, vaginal checks, blood pressure checks, etc. I provide physical and emotional comfort measures in the scope of my role as doula. I DO NOT speak to the medical personnel on your behalf. That is for you and your partner to do. I DO NOT make decisions for you. I merely educate you so that you may make informed decisions.
Fees
My flat fee for services is $200. The retaining fee is $75, and the remaining $125 is due two weeks before your due date. Payment plans are available. I am also interested in bartering for part or all of my services; contact me for further details. Try not to let money be the determining factor in whether you have a doula. Something can always be worked out.
I provide limited volunteer services for teens and single women without support. This is on a first-come, first-serve basis. I also offer reduced prices for military members/spouses and women considering adoption. As always, contact me for more details. At the present time, I am only taking one to four clients per year; so you may want to reserve your due date early.
