I completed my Passion for Birth childbirth education seminar in April 2010. I sat for the Lamaze International Certification Exam in October 2010 and received my passing grade in December 2010 to become an official Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator.

 

I will start with a basic six-week childbirth series. As I gain more experience and knowledge, I will have a variety of classes to offer. Class dates and times are subject to change, so please contact me for registration details.

 

 

The best time to start taking childbirth classes is around your 30th week of pregnancy. However, no interested woman will be turned away, no matter what stage she is at in her pregnancy. Some topics we will cover are stages of labor, comfort measures for labor, interventions and unexpected outcomes, breastfeeding and newborn care. We will also do a "labor rehearsal" so you can practice all the new tools you'll learn.
